The Combined Authority plays a central role in catalysing this innovation-led economy. We are seizing
the unique opportunity to use our devolved powers and funding to create wealth and prosperity for all
our 1.6 million residents and the whole UK - investing in our economy, people, place, transport and
digital infrastructure. Our vision is for the Liverpool City Region to be: The best place to grow up, grow
a family, and grow a business - where no-one is left behind.
As part of this transformation, we’re creating a modern integrated transport system investing
hundreds of millions in new trains on our Merseyrail network, new stations, zero emission hydrogen
buses, a safer cycling network, and smarter ticketing. We are well on the way to delivering the
Mayor’s vision of a safe, affordable and accessible network that aligns with our broader economic,
environmental and social inclusion goals.
We are now looking to bring in a talented team to step up the pace in delivering this vision. As Head
of Partnerships and Growth you will lead and manage the commercial development of the transport
network to optimise revenue growth and commercial income streams that can be re-invested in the
network. Working with and through key stakeholders and partners including other public authorities,
consumer groups, transport operators, communities, third sector and businesses across the city
region you will set new standards of accessibility and inclusivity for customers, ensuring that the
future development of the network and our transport services meet these objectives. You will also use
your expertise to work effectively with the freight and logistics sector to boost efficiency and
sustainability.
Reporting to the Director of Transport and working as a member of the senior management team you
will bring significant experience and expertise in a similar senior leadership role gained in the
transport and/or logistics sectors with responsibility for revenue management or income generation.
You will have strong commercial acumen with the ability to critically analyse financial and commercial
data and be able to identify opportunities for revenue growth and improved outcomes for customers.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team to deliver a world class integrated
transport system backed by significant investment in one of the UK’s most vibrant regions.
